Will You Be Made Whole

I love learning and remembering new definitions and descriptions of what it means to be a saved, born-again child of God. Along with learning those things I learn new definitions and descriptions of my life before I received Christ and my life since I received Him. Before I received Him I was in the process of destroying my life and myself. I did those things precisely because as a child and as a young person I did not respond to the tug of the Holy Spirit upon my heart. I am grateful that the Lord patiently had mercy upon me and reversed the process a bit over three decades ago. I was incomplete because I did not have Jesus living in my heart and presiding over my life.

John 5:6: When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

Many think only of Jesus making men and women whole physically, healing their bodies. But it is immeasurably more important that He make us whole spiritually.

Colossians 2:10: And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

Whole and complete are good descriptions of those who have received Jesus. Before I received Jesus I never knew I was an incomplete person. But I was and now I know I was.

Mark 5:34: And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Luke 8:48: And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

Luke 8:50: But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.

John 7:23: If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?

I was not just incomplete, I was dead spiritually (separated from God and dead to Him).

John 5:24: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Romans 6:11: Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Before I received Christ I was also opposed to myself.

2 Timothy 2:25: In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

Galatians 6:3: For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

2 Timothy 3:13: But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

I was getting worse and worse and could not reverse the process, nor did I want to. But God could and did. Has He made you complete? And is He performing a good work in you?

Philippians 1:6: Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
